Profile

Mónica started her painting career of figurative art with Cristina Nuñez. Then she continued her course of studies in Art at Instituto Superior de Artes Plásticas and in Pottery at Instituto Municipal de Cerámica  in the City of Avellaneda. She went on improving her skills in both abstract and realism by taking lessons with painter and sculptor Andrea Allen and the artist Ricardo Celma.

Thus she begins her work with fast movements of great gesturality, with pictorial paths spiced by a wide chromatic spectrum that alternates between zones of action and rest, density and colour that suggest or highlight images. 

Trained as a teacher, Mónica Rodríguez combines her interests in education, art and languages. 

She has carried out work analysis with artists Luis Altieri, Jorge Abot and Daniel Vidal.

She participated in several individual, collective, national and international exhibitions, in S. Dalí San Mateo California, Casa de la Cultura de Quilmes, Biblioteca Mariano Moreno, Museo Roverano, Centro Cultural Recoleta, Zencity, The Link Towers.

Her triptych Renacer was acquired by the project "The Link Towers" in Puerto Madero in permanent exhibition in its showroom.
